Barclays, A Day in the Life of 1CP
What we did
Canvas Director, James Greig, produced and directed a series of branded-content films, in partnership with Shoot the Company, for Barclays to celebrate several key anniversaries.
2015 saw several key dates celebrated at their global HQ, notably 10 years at their iconic Canary Wharf home, and 20 years since they launched their pioneering website, the first from any financial intuition.
Three films were produced over a series of weeks in late 2015. The first was a behind the scenes documentary at their global HQ in London, 1CP (1 Churchill Place). The film, shot with a naturalistic documentary tone followed the unsung background hero’s who keep the mother ship alive and beating. Motion graphics were used to convey in stats the enormity of the operation.
The second film told the story of the banks various head-quarters over its 400-year history and its bold move out of the city to the newly developing Canary Wharf and to its current home at 1 Churchill Place.
The third film celebrated another special birthday – 20 years since they launched their website – and the first major bank to do so, which lead the way to online banking as we know it today.
